Ebook Syllabus Link Workaround

We've discovered a glitch in our e-books catalog that makes creating syllabus links a little more difficult. We're working with our vendors and technical support to correct the problem as soon as possible. In the meantime, here are the steps to creating working syllabus links in our most popular e-book databases, Ebrary, EBSCOhost, and PsycBOOKS.

Ebrary
1) Open the ebook in the ebrary database
2) Locate the 8-digit Document ID in the address bar URL
3) Add it to the end of this string:

http://www.myunion.edu/Library-Login.aspx?url=http://site.ebrary.com/lib/tui/Doc?id=Document ID
e.g. http://www.myunion.edu/Library-Login.aspx?url=http://site.ebrary.com/lib/tui/Doc?id=19344594

4) Copy & paste the link into your syllabus

EBSCO eBooks & PsycBOOKS

1) Open the ebook in the database
2) Click "Permalink"
3) Copy & paste the link into your syllabus
