Transition to the New UI&U Library is a Success
I am pleased to announce the successful launch of the new online UI&U Library and enhanced website. A multitude of research resources, including 70,000+ e-books, and millions of full text articles, dissertations, and other media are now available to our community.
New Location, Same Contact Information
Library staff has moved to new offices in the Stone Science building at the Montpelier Academic Center (second floor, room 205). Please note that all contact information, including mailing address, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses will remain the same. If you're visiting the Montpelier Academic Center, please stop by our new offices for a tour. You can also view photos of our new workspace on our news blog.
New Website
The UI&U Library has also upgraded its website with improved access to our online resources. Some new features include:
• An enhanced directory of available research databases
• Easy access to research assistance in the new Library Help Center and on the Ask a Librarian page, accessible by using clickable help icons in the top, right-hand corner of each page.
We will be offering online tours of our new website and online resources. Please view our schedule for dates and to RSVP. You can also contact us for individual assistance at any time.

New Education Videos and Sociology Database
Beginning on July 1st, all UI&U students and faculty will have access to two new databases: Education in Video and SocINDEX. Both databases will be available on the library database page. Education in Video
Education in Video is the first online collection of streaming video developed specifically for training and developing teachers. More than 1,000 video titles totaling 750+ hours of teaching demonstrations, lectures, documentaries, and primary-source footage of students and teachers in actual classrooms give your education students a way to observe the intricacies of behavior, tone, facial expression, and body language that define effective teaching styles. The collection's wealth of course, study, and discussion guides; assessment checklists; and themed playlists give your education faculty ready-to-use teaching tools. -Alexander Street Press
